David S. Cohen

President and CEO, Firestone Financial

Mr. Cohen has been affiliated with Firestone Financial since 1986. He directs the management of all aspects of the business. He provides direction for the strategic initiatives of the Company, participates in the generation of new business development, serves as a member of the Credit Committee and leads the planning and policy-making functions of Firestone Financial. He is the past volunteer Chairman of the American Amusement Machine Association, which is the leading trade association for manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers to the coin-operated amusement industry. On a local level, he previously has served on various non-profit community boards and presently is on the Board of the New Center for Arts and Culture.

From September 1998 until September of 2000, Mr. Cohen was President and member of the Board of UST Leasing Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of US Trust, which provided equipment leasing services to bank and non-bank customers. During 2008 and 2009, he served on the Board of Directors and was a member of the Audit Committee of Domestic Bank, a Rhode Island based, privately held commercial bank. Prior to joining Firestone Financial, Mr. Cohen was a Divisional Controller for XTRA, Inc., a transportation leasing company and he started his career in 1978 at Coopers & Lybrand as a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Cohen received a BA in Business Administration from Rutgers University.

Scott A. Cooper

Executive Vice President, Chief Operational Officer, Firestone Financial

Mr. Cooper has been affiliated with Firestone since 1989. He is responsible for the daily operations of Firestone including credit operations, asset management (collections), legal and workouts, administration, financial reporting, tax reporting, technology and treasury functions of Firestone.

Mr. Cooper serves as a member of the Credit Committee. From 2003 to 2005, he served as President of the South Area Solomon Schechter Day School. From 1998 to 2000, he was also a Vice President and Director of UST Leasing Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Firestone's parent.

From 1983 to 1989, Mr. Cooper was an audit manager at Arthur Andersen & Co. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bentley College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Cooper serves on strategic goal committees for the South Area Solomon Schechter Day School in Norwood, Mass., and on the Budget Committee for his temple. He loves the mountains, hiking, and skiing, and is an avid runner and cyclist.

George F. Bacigalupo

Senior Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking, Berkshire Bank

Mr. Bacigalupo was promoted to Senior Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking in September 2015, having previously served as an Executive Vice President since October 2013 and Senior Vice President, Chief Credit Officer since 2011. Mr. Bacigalupo is responsible for commercial banking, including the middle-market, business banking and asset based lending teams in Eastern and Central Massachusetts and Connecticut. 

Previously, Mr. Bacigalupo was EVP of Specialty Lending at TD Banknorth, where he established the ABL and other middle-market lending groups and oversaw commercial banking relationships with $5 billion in total committed credit. Subsequently, at TD Bank, he was the senior Lender for New England.

Mr. Bacigalupo received his bachelor of science from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and his master of business from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University.

Sean A. Gray

Senior Executive Vice President and President of Berkshire Bank

Mr. Gray was appointed to the role of Senior Executive Vice President of the Company and President of the Bank in November 2018. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Gray was Senior Executive Vice President of the Company and Chief Operating Officer of the Bank from 2015. Mr. Gray joined the Company in 2007 as First Vice President, Retail Banking and has held various position including, Executive Vice President, Retail Banking and Senior Vice President. Mr. Gray is responsible for the operating teams of the bank, including retail banking, mortgage banking, government banking, cash management, wealth management, insurance, and marketing, as well as Human Resources. 

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Gray was Vice President and Consumer Market Manager at Bank of America responsible for the sales and service operations of 31 branches in the Cambridge, Massachusetts market. Mr. Gray earned his B.S. in Finance from Bentley College. 

Richard M. Marotta

Chief Executive Officer of Berkshire Bank

Mr. Marotta was appointed to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank in November 2018. Prior to these appointments, Mr. Marotta served as Senior Executive Vice President of the Company and President of the Bank from 2015. Mr. Marotta joined the Company in 2010 as Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer and has held additional positions including Chief Credit Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. He is responsible for compliance, commercial banking, specialty lending, loan workout and oversees Berkshire Bank’s Foundation. 

Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Marotta has more than 28 years of experience sophisticated banking experience, most recently he served as EVP and Group Head, Asset Recovery at KeyBank, and has extensive career experience in credit and risk management, including asset based lending portfolios.
