David S. Cohen

President and CEO
Member, Board of Directors

Mr. Cohen has been affiliated with the Company since 1986. He directs the management of all aspects of the business. He participates in the generation of new business, maintenance of key customers relationships, serves as a member of the Credit Committee and leads the planning and policy-making functions of the Company. He is currently the volunteer Chairman of Board of the AAMA (American Amusement Machine Association), one of the Coin-Op Industry Trade Associations. On a local level, he previously has served on various non-profit community boards. He is a presently a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Holbrook Cooperative Bank.

From September 1998 until September of 2000, Mr. Cohen was President and member of the Board of UST Leasing Corporation, which provided equipment leasing services to bank and non-bank customers. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Cohen was a Divisional Controller for XTRA, Inc., a transportation leasing company and he started his career in 1978 at Coopers & Lybrand as a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Cohen received a BA in Business Administration from Rutgers University.


Scott A. Cooper

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer
Member, Board of Directors

Mr. Cooper has been affiliated with Firestone since 1989. He is responsible for the daily operations of Firestone including credit operations, asset management (collections), legal and workouts, administration, financial reporting, tax reporting, technology and treasury functions of Firestone.

Mr. Cooper serves as a member of the Credit Committee. From 2003 to 2005, he served as President of the South Area Solomon Schechter Day School. From 1998 to 2000, he was also a Vice President and Director of UST Leasing Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Firestone's parent.

From 1983 to 1989, Mr. Cooper was an audit manager at Arthur Andersen & Co. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bentley College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Cooper serves on strategic goal committees for the South Area Solomon Schechter Day School in Norwood, Mass., and on the Budget Committee for his temple. He loves the mountains, hiking and skiing, and is an avid runner and cyclist.


Larry Yaffe

Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Mr. Yaffe leads sales and marketing for Firestone Financial, responsible for managing sales, inside sales, marketing and new business. He has been with the organization since 1994, and in his career at Firestone he has also managed and built the Asset Management team.

Mr. Yaffe serves as a member of Credit Committee, and is also on the Board of Directors of the Outdoor Amusement Business Association and the Mobile Amusement Industry, Inc.

Prior to joining Firestone, Mr. Yaffe worked at Arthur Andersen & Co. as a staff accountant. Mr. Yaffe holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Bentley College.

Mr. Yaffe serves on the Board of Directors of the Sharon Youth Baseball and Softball Association. He coaches youth baseball, softball, basketball, football and soccer, and volunteers for Cystic Fibrosis events. He and his wife have three children.


Celine M. Perreault

Senior Vice President, Credit and Operations

Ms. Perreault has been affiliated with Firestone since 1994. She currently manages credit underwriting and risk analysis, loan documentation, and operations and administration. Formerly, Ms. Perreault served as Controller and managed financial and tax reporting and information and internal control systems.

She serves as a member of the Credit Committee and co-administers new business development.

Prior to joining Firestone, Ms. Perreault was employed at Dynatech Corporation as a financial and tax reporting technician; she began her career at Coopers & Lybrand as a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Perreault holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bentley College.


Michael Smith

Vice President, Asset Management / Counsel

Mr. Smith has been affiliated with Firestone since 2008. He is responsible for Asset Management which includes collections and delinquency management, loan workout, inventory management, litigation and bankruptcy. Mr. Smith serves as a member of the Credit Committee. From 2005 to 2008 he served as Head of Collection Operations and General Counsel for AMGRO, Inc. a premium finance subsidiary of the Hanover Insurance Group. From 1987 to 1993 and from 1996 to 2004 he served as Director of Operations and General Counsel for Agfa Financial Services Inc., a captive equipment leasing group of Agfa-Gevaert N.V.. From 1993 to 1996 he served as Operations Manager and Counsel for Bayer Financial Services, a captive equipment finance division of Bayer Corporation.

He holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from Suffolk University Law School, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from American International College and a Certificate in Executive Management from Notre Dame University.


Robin Place

Vice President and Controller

Ms. Place has been affiliated with Firestone since 1997. She manages the financial, tax reporting, and compliance operations of Firestone as well as the MIS functions of Firestone.

Prior to joining Firestone, Ms. Place worked as an audit senior for Coopers & Lybrand. Ms. Place holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and earned her Certified Public Accounting license


Deborah Wishner

Director, Human Resources

Ms. Wishner was named Director of Human Resources at Firestone Financial Corp. in 2008. Using her extensive interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills, Ms. Wishner strives to develop and deliver impactful Human Resources and organizational development solutions, including hiring, mentoring, policy development, employee relations, legal compliance, and staff development.

Among her previous positions prior to coming to Firestone, Ms. Wishner served as a Consultant at the Union of Concerned Scientists.  She was also a Senior Manager for Performance and Capacity Building at Management Sciences for Health, an international public health consulting organization, and Director of Human Resources at Systems Engineering, Inc., among other companies.

Ms. Wishner earned undergraduate degrees at Brandeis University and the University of California, Santa Cruz, and earned her Masters in City and Regional Planning at Harvard University. She is a member of the Boston Recruiters Group, Brandeis University Alumni Networking Group, Harvard University Alumni, and University of California-Santa Cruz Alumni (UCSC), as well as the past Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the 495/128 HR Collaborative.
